About the Farm
Craigmore Estate sits at 900 masl in the lush Western Ghats and has been nurtured by three generations of the same family. Today, it is led by Farokh, who brings deep care and vision to the land. Locally known as “Kattimuttu”, meaning Bison, the estate is named after the wild bison that still occasionally pass through.
Farokh's farming philosophy centres on regenerative practices, biodiversity, and soil health. The estate grows Robusta coffee (Old Peridinia varietal, natural process) alongside pepper, avocados, arecanut, and, since 2017, newer crops like moringa, pomelo, and grapefruit.
Over 700 native tree species have been planted, and indigenous Malnad Gidda cattle are kept to produce organic and vermicompost, enriching the soil naturally.
With a team of 23 full-time staff, supported by a seasoned supervisor and expert consultants, Craigmore is focused on farming in harmony with nature, for the benefit of future generations.
